BTW that middle pic, i didn't move them with just one strap on them. But this project is real checkmark safety oriented. And one time I unstrapped and then pulled forward like 20 feet (dead level, etc) and got yelled at. So, now i take everything off but one until we are really ready to unload just in case.

 

Today's steel load. Oh it's preloaded, you have to leave at 4:30am. Why? because do not question the dispatch.

Arrive at steel company a little after 6am (gets light around 7:20 here this time of year). Guy wanders out and says "why are you here so early? you were supposed to come at like mid morning"

Is the light off or are those straps actually purple? If so, do you know who they get them from?

 

Yep, the are purple straps, they have them custom made. The company colors are purple and white (same as the trucks), so they buy a poo-ton of the purple straps with the company name imprinted in them at the beginning of the year. Let's them see if they get stolen, "borrowed", etc.

 

I have a thing for odd strap colors... But there are very few on the shelf. Did find some pink ones though. Thinking ill order a case. Might inquire about how much it would cost to custom dye a set or how many id bloody have to order though.

 

Get a light colored strap and dye yourself? Rit dyes makes dyes for synthetic materials. Make a tie dye strap if you really want one....

 

Brand new Jet Fuel tanker truck. They guys at the airport thought Christmas came early when I rolled in with that. But who doesn’t love getting new toys?

 

Thought about that before actually. But the lightest color you typically see is yellow. Or maybe a shade of Gray for Blackline straps. Which could work....

Ive had this weird obsession for the past two years. But never found what i i was really looking for...

 

Mytee products has blue, red and green 4" straps.

 

Yeah, saw them... Almost went in on the red, but I actually see those colors somewhat mildly often.. by far red would be the rarest i think out of those.

These ive never seen anyone use. Im considering it, just for the WTF factor.
