Yup, only thing I can think of off the top of my head is use your 2-inchers to wrap the gray bundles together, as the previous poster mentioned. I'm kinda picturing the way guys strap wire coils together (not sure what you call that). Looks like quite a pita!

Think about how you would chain down a wheeled machine, then do that with your straps. I carry 14 ratchet straps just for this kind of stuff.
Run a strap through and around both sides of each bundle, creating securement for forward, backward, and side movements.

Not sure what id do if not trucking... maybe go back to my last job. Doing manual labor and equipment operator in the hot sun of arizona making minimum wage... yeah no thanks... truckin sucks sometimes . @D.Tibbitt Hey i've done things with really lightweight metal pieces (aluminum trusses) and as you say you can't crank on the metal, or it just bends. BUT if you put a twist in the strap (one on each side) the wind will stop loosening it and they will stay tight. Try it, I was amazed.
