Someone ( @kylefitzy maybe ) posted some pics awhile back with strap hooked to them. I have done it and it was solid.

Sweet. I just don't want to order these and have the hook not fit. I'm also buying four stake pocket winches, and three more regular winches. And another ten straps to start mixing in, since my original twenty straps are starting to show some wear. Finally switching over to Kinedyne.

I love the stake pocket winches. I use them a lot.

The straps hooks fit those perfectly. Blair had left me 3 or 4 of the chain ends and a few older straps with chain ends in the trailer boxes when I bought his trailer. I have definitely used them. I just bought a couple more on sale and have used both the new ones already. They work great on certain loads for sure.

I bought a couple of these recently also and used them once.

I got ten of them with a 2” strap.

Those are the only straps I carry — none of our trailers have sliding winches. Yet all we do is heavy machinery. If I need to strap the load weighs under 10k in weight and I’ll mix in some chains.

I'll look at those too. My reasoning is for a few reasons. I need to be able to strap near the end of the trailer, and miss the tires. My winch rail actually stops midway above the rear tire as well. So I can't strap the last three feet of my trailer really. And the pocket winches will also help with strapping so I can pull both directions since I only have a rail on one side. Just trying to get some versatility.

I'm sorta in the same position. I have 4 winches between my spread. However none over the wheels obviously and none behind the spread either. So I carry 6 regular 2" and 6 with chain ends. Covers all my needs.

Used to carry 8 of the 3inch chain lead straps, only 4 of the chain lead ratchets.
I like the 3 inch, have the same WWL as a 4 inch and can fit through things a little better.
Now I only carry 4 straps and ratchets. Thinking of taking it down to 2, just not doing the stuff I used to, sort of extras. Ill keep them in the garage for spares.

I am curious why the chain extension with a d-ring cost less with a 30ft strap attached.
As for short straps I would by 30ft and cut them down and use the cutoffs as soft padding protectors and v-board straps.

Because they are way over charging for those pieces. I know we don’t pay that much for them, we would have never bought them if they were that expensive. Unfortunately I don’t know where we get them.
