To look at it, I would have guessed 40 - 45k tops.

I think the track system with the rollers etc put added weight to it.

Thanks. I sure hope it gets quicker. Took me a good 2 hours to strap and wrap this short load. No wind to speak of either. Other than the time, it really wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

So does this mean I'm one of the cool kids now?

  6. Something to keep a major eye on!

Wind! If you have even a 15- 25mph wind, be very cautious around and handling your tarps. If you need to remove them, tie down one side to rub rail.

Don't worry about neat rolled up tarps during wind. Wad them up strap them down. Go find a walmart, home depot. Unroll them behind the building to block the wind.

    ShooterK2 Thanks this.

Could I ask where you get your tarps?

Does anyone else ever do this?

On my first tarp load, I did this at the front, just to be sure. Then, on the second one, the back flap kept blowing out and flapping. Didn't matter what I did with bungees, it just wouldn't stay put (of course, driving 75 mph north and east into a 30 mph northeast headwind on Saturday in west Texas didn't help). So, after stopping 3 times to fix it, I pulled some slack down, ran a 4x4 across it and secured it with a 2" strap. No problems after that.

Picture didn't work ShooterK2. I do the rear flap just like the front but inside the sides. Bungee in every grommet going to the rub rail at an angle and roll the extra up and bungee it forward.

I don't know why sometimes I can post a pic from my phone and it works fine, but sometimes it shows up as an attachment that you have to click the link to see. I do it the same way every time.

I will try it again here:
