I guess if it’s local it’s all good. We had to be bribed to go anywhere near the place. Was extortion almost, you could get $1500 for Toronto-NYC pretty easy in the early ‘80’s. It’s only like 470mi or some ####.

I did the same thing to my heavy 3 axle to haul blades - had the axle fabricated to face bolt to the back of the frame with identical axle spacing and used a proportioning valve to run off common air and even the axle weights. Not as easy as Bellemere’s 4 pin system but it worked well - O would load the group to 60k every tripCAXPT, Oxbow, God prefers Diesels and 5 others Thank this.

I used to run that way all the time but now I usually don't unless I'm going around the Joplin scale. Between the extra time it takes and the extra fuel it just didn't save me enough to make it worthwhile. I do like the drive though.CAXPT, Oxbow, God prefers Diesels and 3 others Thank this.

Seeing is that this came straight from the factory as one of the top of the stack.
I think I would remember putting electrical tape on it. But I get what you mean. That does often work. But who knows maybe XL put some tape on it for me to find.
Although now I've got more problems ..... Bigger ones infact.
Fortunately I parked near a shop. So that's good.

According to the spec sheet this was 25,000 lbs and 102" wide .......... Dispatch be mixing stuff up again I guess.
The lie detector exploded.
And yeah I got it on crooked and didn't much care to fix it cause it was going 20 miles. Port was slow and I was very happy to end the week.
Up to it next week tho. Honestly I don't even know what possessed me to back it on. Weird day.CAXPT, Oxbow, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
Bellemare has some rigged like that too. I saw one and wondered what was up when the pin-ons are so much easier. Then I saw one later up in Labrador with a bolster to get a pusher onto screwed on where the tag axle I saw was. I noticed after the ones with the bolt on rig have bumpers with provisions for pushing. The Bellemare family are a huge concrete manufacturer. The trucks were a private fleet that only hauled their own products in the beginning. They’ve engineered themselves some pretty clever gear over the years. Now they’re transportation division is a good sized player in the contract and for hire specialized market operating as a stand alone transport company. Much the same way Manac grew out of Canam Steel building trailers for themselves.
