Post flatbed load photos here V2.0

Maybe it's a big company that can afford to take loads with lower rates, because they might have other loads that will compensate for the lower ones.... I think big fleets can get away with lower bid because of the amount of trucks they own... Not good for single or 2 truck O/O... Nor is it good for the general aspect of rates for anyone company or O/O ... Companies will come to expect this lower rate all the time... Even if the low rate company doesn't come back..

 

Sad thing is, there are single horse people doing it also...
I called on a ld. out of Gillette last week. 63k dozer going to the east side of St. Louis.. I told them 7k all in.
He said he was only paying 3800.00 all in. I said good luck. His reply was I got people doing it and hung up on me.

 

first load on 115. I wasn't quite ready, but it was a gotta go load. So I went.

 

I get that line all the time, seems to be their go to, but I'm not going to run just to run.

 

the load boards are going straight to ####. I've noticed a decline just in the three years I've had my authority. more games, I wouldn't doubt that broker had someone to do it at 7k already and would have called him with some excuse if you would have done it for 4k. I notice every time someone tells me they found a good load there's better than 50% chance it cancels. But the cheap ones never cancel, do they ?

Not this one horse! I've been quoting & brokers are coming in half what my number is just like your example. Well.... seems the brokers can't cover....... my last 4 have been JIT's 3+ weeks later "I need this machine NOW" from old quotes. Oh yeah, you need to add some to that number I quoted to get it when? Most shippers know better but still fall for the line "I've got a truck in your area"- sorry stupid hurts.

I see loads I've quoted turn up on the boards and just laugh. If they cover, good- won't be too long & that truck will go broke, one less dingbat to deal with.

Just got back from delivering a 644G to northern MT yesterday- what a grind, & that means it pays enough so I can wait for the next one. Suicidal critters everywhere- ssssslllllloooooow run back down to 90...but I digress..... be safe guys
