    You'd have been better off using your dunnage over top of the barrels at the edges rather than the pallets or v-boards, then your edge protectors would have had a flat surface to grip against. Do pick up those little ones anyways, since that's about all you need in most circumstances where you just need to protect the straps and cargo. Save those larger ones as you mention, for special cargo issues where you need more width to spread the load over a wider area. It's easier and cheaper to replace a $0.99+ edge protector than a $5.00+ one. Just sayin'. :)

    It won’t be perfect, but it will be better.
    If you have good ones, stack the sorta warped ones between them and put a couple of bungees on them.

    First time with a "can't see sheet in my mirrors" load. Far as I know, not a single mailbox or street sign was harmed today, but I still hate roundabouts.
