Bessie is a 1995. 265" of throbbing fury lol
2,345,395.7 on her as I sit outside of this receiver right now. She's a great old gal. Purchased from original owner Mr Frisby.

I had one like that. Well, it was a company truck. My first flatbed gig was with Osborn Transportation. They used to have a flatbed division. They had their flatbedders divided into two teams: Green Team (non forced dispatch and $.36/mile) and Red Team (forced dispatch $.40/mile). The Green Team trucks were T600s with 430 Detroits and 9 speeds, 9th against the dash. Red Team were flattop W9s aluminum wheels, 500 Detroits with 10 speeds. I of course was a Red Team. My truck had 2 rotating beacons on the top. Osborn wasnt a true heavyhaul company, but they would build and configure any trailer to move a load. Had alot of fun with those guys. We were transporting quite a few really big loads south of Memphis. We'd all pile up into 1 truck and go to the casinos in Tunica,MS watch the fights, get lit, then go back to the job site with a 6 pack each, and shoot our guns at the gigantic steel lightpole. You could tell when you hit it because the bullet would create a spark when it ricochet. The security guard would join us in shooting. Fun times.

If I had a 4 axle, I would like it on the chassis like Bessie, complete with a flattop sleeper.

Bessie started as a straight 430 Detroit with a 10 over. Took me a long time to find one setup like I wanted (close to it anyway) that weren't all clapped out. Stumbled upon her from a single owner who was (still is) meticulous and forward thinking when it comes to maintenance and equipment setup. Every hose was double wrapped, every section of replaced wiring was done better than the factory harnesses, only hold back for me were that it was a 10 speed and that everything was white aluminum nothing polished.
    She's done right by me.
Mr Frisby called me at least once a month for the first year I had her wanting to buy her back. I understand why, now more than I did then.

See, that's a prime example of why I love this job. Imagine pulling into a weigh station if that thing was permitted...

Scalemaster: Driver, what are you carrying?

Marvin: It is a Plutonium 239 Explosive Space Modulator. I am going to blow up the earth...it blocks my view of Venus!

Just a little overkill for this loader. It was already sold and needed to move, and it got me home for a week off
