A lot of o/o do that in the steel business. The rates are so low that they only justify a good paying load if it's heavy haul. Not all loads are like that I have some customers that pay really well and it's worth it, but most are not. If you have to double the weight to make the rate work there's something wrong. The wear and tear on equipment is bad....

So that whole load of rocks went to one residential property. No one but the homeowner was there when we arrived and they didn't seem to even know about it. To sum it up, we were empty 4 hours later. Oh, and they ####ed up the tractor half fender by pushing a rock right off the front of the trailer...
Sneakerfix, Sleepy68 and MJ1657 Thank this. -
So who is paying for the new fender then?
-
It's a company truck. -
It could have been worse though. It could have came down on the glad hands and did some real damage.
Sneakerfix, passingthru69, MJ1657 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yes, that is true and the main thing is nobody got hurt in the off loading
tsavory and Dye Guardian Thank this. -
That reminds me why I don't haul landscape rocks lol. The other fun one is when they use a backhoe with a thumb and drop one onto your deck by mistake. Fun fun.

I got all new chains for the step today. Sad when this is an exciting event in my life. Yellow is my half chains and red is my chains for over the axles.
