32 degrees with a 21 degree windchill here in Waseca, MN

 

4 hours and 3 beers later, my smoked pizza is done. Thanks @Hurst for making me think of good pizza

 

That does look good. I like seasoned sliced tomatoes on my pizza,.. I'm a less cheese, more sauce pizza guy. I would add some green peppers and onions with maybe some ground beef or sausage and it would be perfect for me.

My wife likes olives and mushrooms on hers.

 

What do you season your tomatoes with? Sounds like a good idea

 

I have to ask my wife,.. I know she does basil and oregano on them and adds a pinch of cane sugar in the crust and her sauce as well as bay leaves in the sauce. Her father is Greek and does what he calls the Greek pizza,.. I have to pick out the olives,.. but the sauce and crust are so fantastic. I wish I knew the recipe.

Her family is in the restaurant business. They own 20 different franchise stores from Fla up to NYC. They also have 5 diners in Manhatten. $$$$$.

She can cook anything and make it taste better than anything I can do or anything you can get anywhere else. She does these beer basted BBQ ribs with twice baked stuffed potatoes that I can gain 20lbs eating in a single sitting. Even her toasted ham and cheese tastes better than mine,.. and I watched how she made it,.. yet mine is not as good.

Her father taught her from a young age to get into the restaurant business. She became the black sheep and went into law enforcement.

 

Everything tastes better when someone else made it.

2 cousins and a brother. Brother is a millionaire,.. yet is so tight with his money, he drives a Chevy Malibu, lives in a modest house in a working class neighborhood. His yard in manicured and landscaped,.. kinda stands out when no one else does more than cut and maybe seed in the spring. His wedding gift to us was set of pots and pans. Expensive ones,.. but kind of an insult and family inside thing because he knew she had a nice set. It was his way of saying she married down by marrying me. Barefoot and pregnant kind of thing.

Her cousins both married rich guys. So guys like me and you wouldnt even get a second look unless we had drivers for our Bentley or Benz.

Darn. Worth a try though. My wife doesn't have family money but still married down. She's very intelligent and classy yet married a redneck white trash guy like me. Got lucky with that one and wouldn't let her go for the world. Be tempted by a nice classic Pete though.
