Yes Maine is nice, my wife even liked it up there -
Yeah but getting g loaded out sucks.
My first week out for new company that said home every weekend years ago was Tuesday leave Louisville to Miami then somewhere just a little north of Miami up to Winslow Maine for a Monday delivery I called in and asked are you sure it Monday not Friday delivery. She said yeah it's a Monday so asked what happened to being home every weekend? She went what do you mean go home and leave out in time to make it.
Umm you realize that's over 1200 miles out of route and by the time I get home would have to leave after a 10 hr break.
Woops sorry it won't happen. So went on up sat all weekend then Monday morning was sitting in drive when the place opened and sat another 13 hrs before they unloaded me almost did not unload at all Monday.
So was not a good start for sure.Chewy352, Dye Guardian, Al. Roper and 1 other person Thank this. -

I've never had a problem with the DOT in Maine. Then again, I was always on the bigroad coming from New Brunswick, Novak Scotia and Newfoundland.rank Thanks this. -
First time through ME was from Syracuse, NY to Halifax, NS. I thought I would save a few miles by taking ME RT 9 from Bangor. Between the tolls and the ME DOT inspecting trucks on the side of that twisty RT 9, I never went that way again. It's all the way up to QC and back down now.
