I've been looking at how he ties down other stuff in the last pages of the thread and it's kinda scary... All he because he admitted to be lazy and not wanting to throw that much chain. Not trying to throw him under the bus but that's the wrong attitude in moving equipment or anything.

 

Chaining, or strapping, over rubber tracks is also a big no-no.

 

My bad yes 5.5 metric ton machine I had 3.5 in my head sorry.

 

@skootertrashr6 is dead on, 4 chains plus one over the boom and technically one over the blade but I've never been messed with on a machine that size.

 

You mind sharing those pictures that you have concerns with. It gets easy to get complacent and I'm open to constructive criticism.

 

The same ones johndeere was commenting about last week.

 

Ummm...Mac? They did tell you that an improper securement ticket would void your Man Card for 365 days, didn't they? You're running a rollback...make it simple, 4 cheater chains and 4 binders, 2 inch strap for the boom.

Out of curiosity, why did you belly that goofy thing on the back? Looks bolted together..

 

Ya know what... im an idiot. I looked again, trying to belly where the dunnage is would probably end up with cut straps.... ill refrain from speaking early...
