How many of you guys ever load out at gerdau in Jackson Tennessee.... Herewas my heartache yesterday.

I hate that they won't block them in, but god forbid you bring a load in that's not blocked.

 

I started carrying my own blocking. If they won't let me use it I'll just refuse the load. F em.

 

I don't have the storage. Only have one side box door and it's barely big enough to hold 4 extra straps, my extinguisher, and my triangles

 

That stinks. I'm lucky enough to have 2 boxes on the trailer so I've got plenty of room.

 

Yeah we try to keep the weight down as much as possible so we can easily haul 50k of Owens Corning shingles when the loads come up

 

The way I'm set up with full tanks I'm at 28600. So this 50k single loads pay really good and I gladly take them

You're telling me, ran out of hours securing it.

 

If it were my truck they'd be either fixing it or unloading it. If they banned me from their facility I'd be happy. If they tried the crap of saying that's how all the trucks are loading I'd gladly give the nearest State Police post a call and send a few pictures.

For Gerdau of all places to do that is amazing. How the hell is that safe but me standing on the catwalk of my truck isn't.

That load is completely unacceptable and should never be hauled like that.

 

I mean no disrespect to you @Gunner75 . It's good to see that you did the best you could to secure it. You really need to bring this stuff to the attention of a safety guy where you work though.
