No I was actually going to though. I moved to Kansas City 3 months ago and happened upon a trucking company up here that suited me better. They had road and local positions open so I snagged a day cab. I’m home everyday, start around 7 and I’m usually outta there by 4:30. Can’t beat it, especially with having a kiddo. It’s interesting work too I like it. Most of my experience is P&D work with Estes or OTR reefer. I haven’t touched a pallet jack or bumped a dock here yet! Not to mention I don’t care if I ever see a grocery warehouse again.

Unless I find something shocking I’m leaseing on to a company in Ottawa ks in two weeks have had enough of flatbeds and I’ve realized just how lazy I am having my own authority so putting it on the shelf and hoping for the best with this new adventure I liked pulling a framed dump when I first started driving figure doing it otr won’t be to bad long as I can get the hang of dumping a frameless not looking forward to installing a wet kit but that’s the price of business I guess

Ohh ok gotcha. We have an OTR division too it’s just not what I’m looking for right now. I lived in Ottawa 10 years ago, and I think I applied where you’re talking. Everything was going good and SUPER nice people and everything was a go... until they realized I was 21. I think you hadda be 25. Does it rhyme with Cones?

pretty good but I don’t think there is any other option in town used to haul Ottawa trucks outta of that town for years. I’ve heard good and bad about where you are At talked with Roy I believe his name was when I first moved to KC from Manhattan but they didn’t care for my inability to stay one place for to long I do like there equipment though I see them running towards st Joe a lot when I’m home occasionally west on 70 as well

Haha I think you’re right. My guess was almost a given. I ended up spotting trailers at American Eagle after they said I didn’t meet their age requirements. I hope everything works out for you there I’ll be interested to see your posts. I didn’t know anything about end dump companies when I started applying to them. I was in talks with Kansas Trucking out in DeSoto before I landed this and they approved my app and everything and then totally ghosted me. Couldn’t get anyone on the phone, wouldn’t return my messages. Nothing. So I don’t know what that was about. But yea we go all over. I was down in Oklahoma last week and we run out to Salina a lot and I was west of Hays. For local I crank down the miles that’s for sure some days.

Yeah in between reading and replying to you I’ve been searching the forum don’t really seem to be a consistent dump forum on here unless you are on team Oakley!! I’m sure I know of a outfit in DeSoto they have tanks as well and I also tried there years ago and got the run around guess that’s just how it works if we’re talking the same place just thought it was my award winning personality. I’m not much for posting my day to day but I would like to see more of a active end dump forum so I might just do that

Yep you’re right they have pneumatic tanks as well. Like I said I applied and “oh yea everything looks great we’ll call ya and set up an orientation day”. Then...nothing. Crickets. From application to first day where I’m at now was exactly a week so they were on it. I agree with the lack of end dump forum on here. If you get one rolling I’ll controbute. Long as you don’t mind at least.
