Because big companies under bid to get freight. O/O's and small good companies refues to haul cheap freight and stand by their rates, the only way for prime to take the freight away from an exp driver/company is to under bid them.
I'll ignore your ignorant comments....

AT--I am not sure how much you truly know about the inner workings of the trucking industry. To be honest, I don't think you know anything about Prime's operations or their rates. I don't have any love for Prime...I just think you need to bring it down a notch. I would cut ORD a little slack. I have read many of his posts that are positive and insightful. You seem to attack so called BFI companies, yet you worked for W/S...getting paid .25/mi. He is doing his job and staying positive.

Im enjoying my time at Prime so far. Theyve done everything theyve said they would. 36cpm is good for someone with no experience. We have good equipment. They take care of us. I enjoy doing my job.
misterG, TDriver4Life, dodge24v and 2 others Thank this. -
Logan said they were cheap, ORD said otherwise which isnt true, i corrected him, he insulted me, i further explained (while answering his question) what i said and even ignored his poor attempt to insult me.
I wasnt attacking Prime or ORD
Watkins isnt a BFI they only have 700 trucks, and good luck clearing $40k+ with ANY BFI first year
but thanks for jumping on my back for explaining insted of just calling prime a sheety company and leaveing like Logan did...

Did the slip sliding backwards down the hill 3 times..... Then come up one night going up the hill about half way and the road is closed. The detour routed me down some very small and tight side streets. Good thing I have a short truck and trailer! I actually had over half the neighborhood out watching me go thru, which I found interesting. Guess I was the excitement for the night?
Warned my brother about the place and since he is fairly new at trucking I advised him to not go, he didn't listen.... The phone call Monday morning was interesting to say the least...
If you called the place up there the lady probably warned you to not cross the tracks, yeah listen to her! I ended up having to make a delivery to a place that was past the tracks......once and only once! I'll try and find a picture of that ordeal. But just to warn you, the roads aren't made for trucks past them tracks!
Just so you know, I don't care how many chains you put on it as long as you feel safe.... and move out of the way...
Here's the pics past the tracks in Verona... This is the entrance to the place. I had to go past the drive to the next town and turn around in a small grocery store parking lot and come back. IN this first pic you can see the road I came in on wasn't real wide.
You can see its close, but what you can't see is my fuel tanks only an inch from the ground.
This is the view from the bottom looking up. Getting turned around wasn't easy and neither was getting out!

I didn't jump on anyone's back. I questioned your knowledge of trucking industry rates and operations. There are times when large companies come in with lower rates. There are often times when O/Ops are the ones coming in with low rates. You have to do more than get behind the wheel to learn this. Just because you have progressed in this business does not mean you know all the inner workings.

AT you don't cut much slack, you haven't been around too long to dish it out the way you do.
Everyone has to start somewhere,so ease up bro.
We're all in this together. -

Looks like some of the jobsites Ive been to Les... lol "I wasnt expecting a semi." Really? Howd you expect all this to get delivered? lol I was not in anyones way while I chained. Precision Strip was running behind. My 2200 appointment turned into a 0300 appointment. Everyone was securing and tarping inside, then moving. I was the last truck in that bay til hours later. I felt safe with 4. Others may not agree, but never seen one move that was "over" secured.

I think when I say this I am speaking for the majority here, when you left LS to go do what ever it is that you went to go do and quit posting in the flatbed section nobody has missed you and your rude and criticizing comments.
Take it down a notch, we don't have the time of day for your negativity.Last edited: Apr 21, 2012
