Yeah, it's a mess and ugly, but it's not flapping away !!!
Crates going to MS. Took about 45 min to get it all figured out. I put some Lowes el-cheapo 8x10 tarps on the bottoms to wrap them since my 4' steel tarps weren't enough. Looks like some lightweight 8' might be in my future

What did I miss ? -
Well ? maybe I'm wrong, but back in the day we were not allowed to --- X ----- the chains, like in your pic . We were told not only will they not stay tight ( movement of the truck ) but the -- X --- factor causes the chain to try and bite at its edge ?. But, my son is going to flat school on the 9th and I'll get him to ask. Not saying right or wrong, just the way it was back when . Be safe . .......................................
