I do that all the time. Just a 5/16 chain and a flat hook strap. Same as a rub rail.... Or u can use the chain-hook straps like he did.

Yep, just remember your WLL drops to the weakest link in the set-up. So your 4" strap will only be good for 4,700# when using a 5/16" chain instead of the 5,400#

Heres a couple from my last week....My truck needs a wash badly i know!
Pipe weights, I threw 20 straps for these. Every winch was used on the trailer lol
Double decked
Had to drop my trailer at a different yard and the boss still wanted me to bring the pipe bunks back so onto the deck they went!
More pipe weights
3 hours to load and unload 2 rig mats 5km up the road lol

Unless those are scrap straps that are cut too short like 12 feet or something, why not just put the chain end around a spool?

No spools on the wheel wells just flat steel or aluminum.
