I never cared for using multiple bungee over a tarp. The hooks want to cut through. Bad enough having sharp edges from freight, don't want to add hooks in the middle. With my bungee rope, just don't have any hooks touching the tarp.

I've used tow trucks to unload more times than I can count. Actually lot cheaper than an actual crane.
If a load on board calls for self loading trailer or need a winch,(which I have neither) I just figure in calling a wrecker at usually $300-$500. Had one that quoted me $350, got out there and didn't really know what he was doing, ended up taking 2 hours to load and wanted to charge $700.

This last load really shredded my tarps. Basically useless now unless its a coil or half the length of a single tarp.

I feel for you. The last load, I tarped couple weeks ago, also shreded couple my tarps. Those I was kinda blessed in the customer paid for them to get repaired. Really shocked me in giving me $200 for repairs, then end up only costing 120 to repair two tarps.
Though I was very upset upon delivery the load with approx. 10 holes in my tarps.

IDK what I'm gonna do with em. I got about the same amount of holes and the end without the flap is practically gone. Wish I had strips of carpet, but alas, no where to put them

Lot of tarp shops around willing to fix them up good. Obviously at some point they are not worth fixing vs. new tarps. Probably depends on holes vs actualy large tears.

This weeks load and surprise, it's yet another wing, 20' wide X 70' long but unlike my normal load which is the two halves of the wing stacked, this one is a full 1 piece wing. Parked in Ringgold, GA till Monday morning when my pilots and state troopers will take me to Savannah to the port then load it onto the ship headed to Israel on Wednesday. 3 tarps and 150 bungees later and it has rode over 700 miles without a balloon or blow-out.
