Power Drive Inverter issue

    Just bought a power drive 1500 inverter because my cobra shorted out after 2 years of use. Once I plugged it in and turned the power on, the inverter would not switch on. The lights on top where is says power drive 1500 flash, but no info on the face of the unit. No green light, or red. When I press the power button the unit just makes a noise but no changes. What could be the issue?
