What gauge wire did you use? Do you have a fuse or breaker? What happens if you pull 3000w all at once? Don't things get hot?

Four AWG battery cables should be used on power inverters rated up to 1500 watts and most commonly used on 900, 1000, 1100, 1200 watt inverters. Smaller sized inverters generally come with a short 6 AWG cable which is included with the inverter....
...use a 150A ANL fuse kit that goes in-line on the positive cable from the power inverter to the battery.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
also be aware that DC is MUCH more sensitive to voltage drop over distance. So plan out your cable run BEFORE you but your wire and see how many feet of wire you're looking at.
There's a reason those included cables are so short. DC isn't forgiving like AC over distance.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Best cables i found to use is welder cables. More than enough to handle any inverter. I run a 4000 inverter off batteries plus I have a Honda 3000 gen to run the a/c and heater it has a trickle charger built in that i have hooked to my batteries.
