I have the same inverter and it will do plenty plugged in the lighter. I ran my tv and dvd player on it for over a year and that's about 280 watts combined.

Manual is right, 15 x 12 is at most 180 watts, and that is input not output. The lighter socket my be fused at as little as 10 amps, not 15. Some sleepers are fused higher.

I don't know much about them, so what should I get? Do the companies install them for you? Do you have a choice?

Looking to run a TV, XBox 360, Laptop, Fridge, 700 watt Microwave.

Like I said I'm no expert are there ones out there that will run this or am I way off?

    Thanks for any help!

I'd contact the company you drive for and see what their policy is on inverters first and foremost. That will answer the bulk of your questions~

Same one...no problems with it. Have everything. I just have to turn my fridge off when I use something else for some reason. If my fridge kicks on when I'm making coffee or using microwave etc... it over loads it. But once it is actually running, it doesn't draw much.

Last night I may have done something to my inverter it was working fine and now it's not. I can plug my cell phone charger into any plug in my truck and it will work, but I can't get my inverter to work in any of those same plugs..

I thought may be it was my inverter so I just went and bought a new one and it's the same thing. The inverters work if they are hooked directly to the battery but none of the sockets will run any of the inverters.

    Please any help or suggestions.

    Hi,

Can someone help me figure out why my cables from my battery to my inverter are always very hot, and it seems like they are slowly melting.

    Thank you
