I haven't. The only difference I would think they'd have would be seals against water but I don't see that would work with it needing to be ventilated to prevent overheating. Probably just a marketing ploy in my opinion.

They claim to have better vibration resistance but they are more expensive

All the parts are solid state. They're all vibration resistant. More likely they tack the name "Marine" on it and up the price. That's it.

My Husky 750w, which has been running a dorm fridge just died on me. I replaced it with an 800w Stanley digital display converter (from Lowes), and so for it has worked great. I keep the fridge set where it keeps everything cold, but not cold enough to freeze anything.

Another thing, for those of you that work for companies that forbid inverters being hooked to the batteries, Lowes has a 500w that plugs into the cigarette lighter, which is rare.

We should make a list of good and bad brands. I can promise you anything in a truck stop is just going to be garbage, especially cobra.

I have one really good brand located, there may be others but figure somewhere at or over 250-350 running right to $1,200 in about no time, worn at the moment and have to pm a friend about "Trucking & Fluid Management Services | Ozona, TX" for my primary candidate employer .... the one's I found run on field-service fleets so is no-jackaround equipment ...

OK, here I go with my issue. I just installed on my truck an Tripac APU from Thermoking. The thing came with it's own inverter. It is a 1800W Thermoking brand inverter. Sounded great at the beggining thinking that I will have the Thermoking inverter and my 2500W Road Pro inverter as a back up.
Right after they told me is done I went to inspect the whole job and get as many info from the technicians about my new toy. The first thing I did was (with the truck engine stopped) to start the microwave. Well it was not possible. As soon I pressed START button on the microwave the appliance start for a quarter second then stopped. Tried multiple times and the same result. Then I tried with my laser printer. Same thing, no way to make it work.
Now the funny part. The microwave is 700W and the Thermoking invertor as I said earlier is 1800W. The microwave don't work, the laser printer dont work. But my water boiler (1000W so bigger than my microwave) is working like a breeze. Now the parte even funnier. I start the boiler(1000W) then IN THE SAME TIME I start the microwave and guess what .... they both work. Then I stopp the boiler and let only the microwave to work and is working. Is anyone capable on telling me what the heck is goin' on ?
The laser printer won't work no matter what. Of course unles I plug my good ol' 2500W inverter.
The technicians there were baffled. After an hour of testing someone came with an explanation about "sine wave" or something like that. They may be right but I'm not sure.
What's left for me to do in this situation ? Can I make my Thermoking inverter work like the old one ?
