I was going to use DOT4 on my '20 LT.
But the part guy at the dealer where I got filter for it told me not to. So what do I use?

Most trucks seem to use either Dexron 3 or engine oil. What's your owner's manual recommend?

DOT 4 brake fluid is not petroleum based. Not compatible with oil.

Check your manual or call your manufacturers dealer of your choice. Give them your vin and they can tell you what to add.
