Power steering problem

    Took it to freightliner and they told me bad power steering pump but they were wrong a friend of mine told me to check the steering shaft .which turned out to be the problem

    Interesting - what was wrong with it? I like to know these strange diagnostic issues - never know when it'll come in handy.

    Probably a lack of grease on the slip joint or u-joints.

    The steering shaft moves like a shock and it was frozen paid freightliner $180 for nothing

    Get a Remanufactured Power Steering Box or have yours rebuilt.
