I know this is an old thread but I'm have that issue of fluid leaking around my steering box as well as my reservoir. Changed filter and gasket but it's still leaking. I just replaced that pump less than a year ago. Someone said it could be a bad air compressor causing my issues. Any idea on what the issue could be? Thanks

What keeps causing these pumps to go out. I have same year truck. Just replace mine less than a yr ago now it's back whining and leaking fluid from steering box as well as reservoir?

I use Lucas power steering stop leak and solved my problem. Swells the seals up.

I've tried that as well and it's fluid seeping from my steering box as well as the reservoir. I've changed filter and gasket in the reservoir it's leaking from reservoir still.
