well i hear that the freigtshakers have horrible grounds but i here pete's and KW's ground well on the mirror brackets?

I got a Wilson 2000 with an astatic 636L mic with a Cobra 29 with the soundtracker, roger beep, and talk back. I got it off a friend of mine, it's an older radio but for being a stock one it gets out pretty about 10 miles, especially the Wilson. I was using a Barjan and it didn't get out for nothing.

i wont go wheres without my Mirage 6600/Roadking mic and Wilson Silverload.....she talks and sounds really nice....my backup radio is a Mirage 88....both take over the channel..lol

Yeah, I have to agree with wcb5, most grounds are bad. It may be a good idea to either
do a setup at the back of your cabin and ground it to the body there or you can get that
copper mesh that is used on vehicles and ground your antenna that way (to the body ) .
No matter how you do it , just make sure you have good ground. -

Last weekend whle my wife and I were driving to Menomonie Wisconsin we heard a guy on the cb that sounded like he was in some sort of echo chamber. He was very understandable, but way different sounding than anyone else. Any idea what radio would cause this?
