As in Lee? Best trucker radio IMHO. Dual finals, easy to switch between bands, no frills, talks as good as the fancy Galaxy 99. Put a little amp behind it if you want to and you got all the radio you need. (no I don't have one but have used them and like them) I have a Connex 3300HP that I use in the truck and I think it is "top shelf", but it takes a flip of a switch plus a turn of the knob to get to another band whereas on the "Lee" one click of a switch and you are there.....it's just easier.

Check out a Stryker 490 HP. Match it with a Road King microphone, and a Francis antena; and you will be good to go!

I have a Galaxy 929 done up by Doug at custom cb radios. Had him set it up with dual mosfets and do his align and tune . Ive tried it with several ants and I can say that the rx on this thing blows away anything else I have tried. If your a driver then good rx is paramount. I like as much warning as I can get for road hazzards.I would strongly recommend giving custom cb radios a try. Of course use the best coax, connectors, and antenna.

No disrespect driver, but with the money you spent beefing up a 929, you could have gotten a Connex, or a Stryker, that walks it straight out of the box. Remember the only real Galaxy radios are double digits, 99,66,48, etc.

I agree but ranger with put them all to shame the new galaxys I'm not too fond of.the connex especially the general lee is loud as far as antenna the Francis? You're gonna spend all the money on a radio and buy a cheap antenna it all starts with a good antenna and coax withouthem your defeating your purpose best antennas are Dave made, monkey made, fat boy and a couple other homemade ones that their names are alluding me then predator btw wilsons are alright but way overrated.now the best amp is a davemade hands down followed by fat boy who use to work for Dave made.actually most key down competitions are won using a cobra 25 and a davemade amp and antenna all depends how much money you want to spend

Can you get low SWR on the antennae you mentioned, straight from the box, or do they have to be adjusted?
