Powering down

    I'm new to driving, and even newer to CB's. Got my first CB 2 days ago, a 29ltd. I'm using factory international antenna and coax and it seem to be doing OK. Question is, do I need to switch my CB off before turning off my truck? When I turn truck key to "off" position, it cuts power to the CB. Should I be turning the CB off before cutting power to it? I know a lot of electronics should be powered off before cutting power to them to prevent damage, is a CB one of those devices I should do this for?

    it will not hurt the radio in any way by turning it off first. i would. just stop by a cb shop and have the SWRs checked on teh antenna. if it is not tuned properly, it will hurt the radio. most places charge about 10 bucks to check the SWRs.
