First contact an attorney and have them send a formal letter of request. Thing's you want copies of they may not give up easily:

    1. Log Book drivers daily log.
Required by the Federal Government to be kept up to date to his last change of duty, and you are entitled to copies of all of them.

    2. Drivers Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR's).
Vehicle condition reports tell what may have needed to be repaired or what had been repaired on the truck and trailer (s). May show if he was having trouble with anything being repaired or not being repaired. Tires, engine problems, brakes etc....

    3. Qualcomm reports
This is the primary way they communicate with the drivers, vehicle location, speed, idling, plus dispatches, request for anything he may have needed.

    4. Bills of Laden. Documentation from the loads he carried, anything he signed you are entitled too. And it will help make them really uncomfortable.

    5. Fuel Receipts. More documentation to assist with there discomfort.

    6. Copies of any and all correspondence between him and anyone at or associated with on on the behalf of the trucking company, including but limited to written, video, audio, electronic.

You may need an attorney to get it all, the quallcom stuff is very important if you think they are hiding something, It is a satellite record of the truck.

As far as exact details of his death they may not have or know, remember they need input to know whats going on. Most of us that drive ignore obvious things as being tired, A lot of drivers die alone. Unfortunate yes but it is a sad reality to driving as a life style. Drivers health is often ignored by all, including the driver themselves.

My condolence on your fathers passing. I know he will be missed.

yup everything this post says is true and it will give a time line to alot of stuff.you can match logs book/hos=hours of service to all the fuel recipts quallcom, bol's and so on.this will let you know how much he really drove.this can atleast show you if he was being pushed passed his over all health/stress limit.it can be rough even on a young person.but to many things to factor in.and if he has been an otr driver for awhile it can have a big toll on your health if you don't stay on top of it.

My condolences to you and your kin. Remember Christ over turned the money changers tables that were in the temple. It is written you can serve God or Mammon ( the almighty dollar ). Covenant is faith based in the almighty dollar, I have no doubt. I promise you, you'll find ALOT more faith in any greasy spoon full of drivers ( and more love for their fellow man and woman ), or a bar full of sailors, than you'll ever find in the glass corporate towers, or the prim and proper pews. They also are probably afraid your going to sue them. Im no lawyer and dont know about wrongful death or liability but thats why guys go to law school, and im sure one of them would tell you if you had grounds to pursue such a course of action. Best of luck to you. God bless.

The qualcomm is very important and get his cell records what truck number was he. Also dispatchers there are known to call cell phones on stuff cause they will not put illegal stuff on qualcomm cause they know its tracked

I pray for you and your family to at least be able to find some peace of mind about your fathers death and for the disrespect you have been treated with after.
