So i spoke with the seller again, and i told him what ive learned from this thread and he said hes been inspected many times with zero issues and he said hes been going by the serial # on the motor to show its pre 99. But he did mention it was not bought a glider. So how has he not been in trouble?

Because as mentioned in the eld laws, it does not need to be a glider to be legal, if it is indeed an acert block, I do not see how he is getting by with the serial number, except proof does not have to be kept in the truck, but in the office, and I doubt they check up on it too often.

All the ad states is that the crank is from a BXS Acert. You'd have to find out what the number stamped into the block is.

It says block.. isn't the info on the head? Aren't cat heads interchangeable? Isn't that label on the motor reprint able?

He's trying to sell a truck. I wouldn't trust him to be 100% truthful....
Also he could simply have not gone to a state that cares like Cali.

In any case if you do decide to buy take it to a 3rd party mechanic for an inspection and dyno/blowby testing. Sure he has receipts, but do you trust how good was the mechanic he used is?

Yeah i’ll definitely have a shop check it out before getting it. Truck is really clean. Almost a show truck. But i will have it inspected before buying it. 7B61EBE6-3003-4B33-9263-BD4620A71BF8.jpeg
