Why didn't you get a full body wax? Most all truck stops do it?

 

Apparently either I read the question the OP had wrong, or everyone else did. I read it as he was asking for a factual answer, not an answer from another possible newbie that wouldn't know the answer. Especially since this was posted in the "Questions From New Drivers" forum. Should he have maybe worded his question a bit better? Yes. But I thought we were all here to help each other. I didn't realize I had made a trip back in time to high school. Come on guys!

To the OP, yes, you will probably have a hard time if a company does a hair test. If they only do a urine test, you will be fine. Now, like a lot of people on here, I do not want someone that is a "druggie" out on the roads where I am. That being said, if a person tried something a few months ago, possibly before the idea of becoming a truck driver took hold, then it isn't a big deal if it was a one time thing. If the LAST time you smoked some weed was two months ago and had a pretty good habit before that, then there are some issues. Yes, people can change, but you would need more than two months clean to seriously consider a career driving a truck.

 

There is no clear cut answer. Nobody knows for sure what a company is going to put or not put on their DACs. With that said it is my opinion that since a hair test is a company thing and not mandated by the Feds you should have a good chance of getting it removed from your DAC if it's on there.

 

Don't care what he asked. He came on a website designed for truckers and called those same drivers willing to help ignorant while admitting he smoked dope. He then ####### like a little girl because those "ignorant" truckers gave him answers he didn't like. He wants to talk facts fine:

Fact: this question is asked at least once a week by other dope feins and crack heads.

Fact: if he would have researched the question, instead of insulting us, he woulda found his answer.

Fact: its impossible to know what each individual company would do but I gotta believe based on prior responses a failed drug test is a failed test weather it was hair or urine. Most companies, from what I read will mark dac with it and you will not work in this industry. It is just like failing drug test at WalMart then applying to mcdonalds, WalMart can legally tell them you failed.

Fact: if its been two moths wait 4 more to be sure. If that worried get a home testing kit or pay for a lab to test you.

Fact: Drugs are bad and will kill you. I should know I've lost 5 cousins to drugs in last 10 years so sorry if I came off rough but I have no compassion for those who choose to do that ####. Don't care if it is one measly joint or not.

Fact: The other responses on here are correct you fail and you will be making fries or flippin hamburgers.
