Attempting to get into Western Pacific TD School through Stanislaus County, Ca. Alliance Worknet.
They are telling me I need 2 pre-hire letters.
I have 3 tickets on my record that will come off in 2012.
I got them all in 2009 after not having one for nearly 15 years.
I also have a DV felony from 1999.
A shouting match that earned me a felony and 9 mos in jail.
No problems with the law since.
Online apps to every company I can find get shot down.
I have been totally honest with disclosure.
How do you obtain a pre hire letter?
I need 2 of these things.
Seems like submitting an app is not the way to do it.

What are the tickets for?
-
1 was for right turn on a red.
2 were for speeding 10 over. -
The speeding is gonna be a hard one to overcome. 3 moving violations in 3 or 5 years is generally the limit, and they are going to look at what they are. Insurance requirements these days are getting tighter and tighter. You might get on the phone with more local companies.
-
That's kinda' what I figured.
No one seems to care about the felony.
I might have to just wait until these tickets are cleared and then purge my DMV record. In cal there is a phone number you can call, and they will permanently remove everything older than 3 years, so when you get your 10 year DMV printout(H6)it looks clean. -
It sounds like you're going through what I did. I assume you are getting a loan through the school? If so, I too had to be hired BEFORE entering school due to 6 pts on my license that were current. Since I allowed them to drop off , I was able to get a private loan at a cheaper rate PLUS the tuition was 1500 less too. Granted it took three years for me to accomplish this , but the extra time put distance between now and the last ticket. Showing soome degreee of driving stabilty.
Fel convic. will depend entirely on the company you hire with. Maybe you can ask around with local work? If you had a job lined up for after grad that might work? -
It's county funded. They pay the school. The school only requires 1 letter, but the county wants 2.
-
ah yes. They want you doing YOUR part. Seen at th eschool I went oto. THAT h=guy went a little overboard , but still its what they want.
So the question now is, when in 2012 do they drop? -
They drop off in jan, feb, and june.
At this rate my DMV will be clear by the time I find anyone to give me letters, it seems. -
Any harm in waiting til march? letting them drop naturally is the way to go. Longest you put between now and the last is always best.
