    That's exactly what my son is planing to do;Ive already got a regional job lined up for him (home every weekend)when he gets his time in w/ werner.The only thing he's concerned about is this new Co uses paper logs and he's not a big fan of paper work,kind of likes the elog.

    Don't sweat that, everybody's gonna be running them pretty soon.

    Mr Z, good attitude. Everybody's first job usually sucks in one way or another. 5th, 6th and 25th too.:biggrin_2559: I didn't exactly love the job I've got now when I first started but here I am 7 years later. :biggrin_2559: There are still days when I fantasize about being able to buy the co just for the pleasure of firing all the jackwagons in the front office.:biggrin_2559:

    Meh.... I've worked for worse.:biggrin_2552::biggrin_25525:

    I have a pre hire with Werner as well, (im going with roehl they just dont know that yet) expect them to call you every few weeks or so. As a company Ive heard mixed things, but the best two bits of advice ive received is take everything with a grain of salt and just use these first company's to gain experience and then decide who you would really want to work for

    a few of the guys I was in school with went with Werner. one really likes it. another is neutral, he's doing his time to go somewhere else. another hated it, didnt last 6 months and changed companies, no clue why tho. so hope it works out for you. I've heard good and bad about them. but I agree I think that's to be said about all the big companies.

    Any job is going to be what you make it. A lot of the issues that drivers run into are perception/reality issues. What recruiting tells you is sometimes misleading (not really lies but can be interpreted in different ways) so your understanding may be something different from what your FM understands (what I assume is reality). Try not to take these things personally.

    If things are going well for you at Werner after a few months you might want to consider riding it out. I'm sure people will tell you that is dumb, but lets face it if the job is meeting your requirements than it's a good job. The grass isn't always greener.
