my thoughts on pre pass are any time you are pulled into a scale you are at risk for some type of violation. if pre pass keep you out of the scales all the better. going into winter be careful be safe out there

Doesn't really do much good to have one in Georgia. They don't know what a green light is. Works like a charm everywhere else though. I very rarely have to go in at all.

You're nuts if you think the diesel cops can't access a timestamp of all your recent prepass scans. Prepass may not record it, but they sure do.

I have Prepass in my trucks and definitely worth it.

Yes GA is back at it doing the "all-in" setting. After that driver got killed in the traffic jam at the SB Ringgold scale a couple months ago, I got green lights about the same as other states for a few weeks. Oh well, I guess they need a stack of dead drivers before they review their policies again.

I'm just going off the website. I wondered how that worked that the scales didn't have tome

They have time to put it in when you drive thru on the bypass lane, it's not a stretch to figure they grab it when your prepass beeps. That said, it doesn't take long before you mind your scale events just like fuel stops and whatnot in the event they decide to search for tales of fiction in your logbook.

The ''less'' paper trail, the better in these days of SUE HAPPY Lawyers and People...It is best to fly off the grid as much as possible and use cash and back roads....:yes2557:

IMO i believe companies that use all this digital stuff and computer stuff are doing themselves a misfortune. At some point all this will be used against them in the Court Of Law...

These swine ball lawyers will search for 1 or 2 violations in the past and hammer it in the court of law.

If you can have as little paper trail as possible, your chances are much much better in the event of a bad wreck and Lazy Fat Sue Happy Pigs...

Good point. But while you were haggling over crooked reflective tape today, I was sailing past scales with a green light on the prepass. I don't run in a way that I have to worry too much about tracking data agreeing with my logbooks. Even if you avoid prepass, even scales altogether, there's enough bread crumbs out there for a sharp legal team to unwind your story.
