Preference to drive, newbie, would rather be south out of snow?

    Ex-Atlanta resident here. This is a fact. The danger is not the ice or snow, it's the clueless idiot drivers trying to drive on ice or snow like it was a dry road.

    I never understand why people insist on leaving their homes if they don't have to. I watched well over a foot of snow fall at the service plaza a little east Cleveland. That's too much to be trying to do anything. I watched so many four wheelers get stuck and spin out. Blizzards are dangerous, but they are even more dangerous for those not used to adverse conditions. Truckers are liable to see all types of conditions year round. So many people up north think because they have four wheel drive it's a green light to still drive in inclement weather. Yet they still get themselves in a ditch, literally and figuratively.
