Who's partnered up with the Blue Star? Tell me about your experiences with their brokerage department. Not asking about those leased to LS. Instead I'm interested in Independent's views/experiences, thanks.

I probably haul 50% of my loads with them. But, they are just like the rest, gotta take what works for you.

They do a lot of high $ auto parts shipments ..I just happen to be close to one of those lanes. That helps.

    DSK333 Thanks this.

Thanks for the input. Do you happen to use their fuel card? If so, how are the discounts? I currently use NASTC and it's tough to beat. However, there's a $300/year fee to use it.

    No I don't.

I read about a lot of good discounts that's available to those who have it.

I was a BCO for a year. Decided to go back to my own authority.

I am an approved carrier for them now. I have the card and it is a good deal. I get the same discounts as a BCO at Loves/TA/Petro. Not as much at the Pilot/Flying J, I think it's only 10-12 cents.

I don't know how you can see the discounts until you sign up for the card. Once you sign up you can get the Comdata Fleet Advance app and look at fuel prices and transfer money to your bank.

The only way to put money on the card is to haul a load for L.S. you can't add money to it your self. I don't haul much for them, but I always leave the money on the card just to get the fuel discounts.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks, it does. I'm set up with the card too. I'll download the Comdata app and take a look.
