Hypothetical...or Personal preference, from an operators view and an owners view.
What is your favorite truck, make and model from 2005-present, spec for OTR dry van and reefer, mostly east of the rockies.
Reliability? is there such a thing past 400,000 and 2007

My first spec would be 2000 and down. You could not give me a 2008-2017.
I went with KW because they still have a lot of parts in inventory at the dealer 20
Minutes from the house, 2 hour break downs are better then 2 days....Brettj3876 and Speed_Drums Thank this. -
Was really hoping this administration was going to address these absurd EPA regs that have put such a strain on trucks. Im a local fuel delivery driver running a PTO Idling for hours a day. You can imagine the problems we are experiencing

As a company driver I prefer Freightliners. When it comes to their budget trucks they have any other brand beat for room. Their other upside is that they're the truck you can get worked on ###### near anywhere. I've had 1 KW and there was inadequate space for being OTR, didn't ride as comfortably, and had nothing but issues with it.

Freightliner Cascadia. Has all that I would ever need. Controls are easy to find with out taking my eyes off the road.

Anything pre 2000......yeah lol
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Just my rambling thoughts, take into account I'm 5'10 165 pounds, and I drive a 2012 Cascadia. I don't sleep in the truck either, I run local stuff. I like this truck, it gets the job done. I prefer a smaller cab like a KW T6xx or W900. I'm not a fan of the layout of Peterbilts, the pedals bug me.
I don't know if this helps or not -
