I say do the swift training thing. You probably do hear alot of bad about Swift....most of which goes on with any other parrallel company. Truth is there are very few that can afford to do what swift does. Do this Adam...Write down your goals as a driver on an index card , make three copies. Put one in your pocket and look at it several times daily. When you are assigned your truck post one in eyesight. Put the other someplace safe. During your first year you are just getting experience but I can assure you that SWIFT will not hender your goals. I pulled for SWIFT and got kinda shook by all the bad mouth they get, but after going elsewhere I see that Swift has a layout that is GREAT for a New Driver (tough for an experienced driver) because they have all kinds of builtin safegaurds to help you become successful. I've heard the academies are tough ala bootcamp. ha ha ha no women and broke. Hey, driving has its equivelent to college sacrifice and thats training and OTR for 1-2 years.
