preparing to make the jump

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to respond. I've ran for a couple power only guys, and keep seeing them (and me by default) held hostage by the whims of the company whose trailer we are pulling. I know there's a better way to operate.

I have hazmat, tanker, doubles endorsements, have a lot of flatbed and hoppebottom experience as well as dry van/reefer, so I will have a lot to choose from when I start up on my own. plus a perfect driving record and criminal history.

I have a couple leads on used trucks (one also includes a reefer unit), that will be pretty close to my cash affordability, so at the most I would have to take a small starter loan.

I have a lot to learn, so I kept this thread simple and just addressed the spot market. thank you all so much- be safe everyone
