Was in the hospital for a couple days and prescribed valium. Have to take hair test for Scheinder in two weeks, will doctors note be enough or will I get dumped?

Schneider's medical dept is incredibly anal.
Bring the note from your doctor as well as a release to work to show whoever does your physical.
Schneider will want the doctor to note it on your long form that your good to go.
They won't do it without your doctor's note.

Unless you lie on the questions and say no to HAVE YOU BEEN HOSPITALIZED.
    don't lie , lol.
I wouldn't risk it not showing up on a hair test. If by some fluke it does your screwed.

Benzos are not prohibited. Make sure when you take your physical you give the ME a copy of your prescription and see if you can get a letter fron your doctor to give this ME. Now bear in mind this ME might not certify you as fit because of this. If you can stop taking that benzo.

Schneider has a separate medical dept.
If they're concerned about anything on your long form they will want whatever doctor they sent you to for your physical to confirm in writing on the long form that your good to go.
That doctor is most likely not going to do it without conformation from YOUR doctor. which is completely understandable.
    AGAIN!! they are incredibly anal.
    ( Schneider's medical dept)
From personal experience I know this , lol.

You absolutely get a note from the doctor who prescribed you. You have to show last dose, and a expected cleared from your system date based on the half life of the drug. (Approx seven times half life from last dose) Your doctor needs to certify (Signing his name, DEA number and so on) that you are expected to be able to work in a 18 wheeler without any further health issues from being hit in the head or need to have that medicine in your system.

Hold on to that letter. You will need that for any future drug tests you are challenged with. Your company will want a copy for your records and their protection when you are cleared to resume driving at a certain date after your last dose.

I take it you have not been on Pain killers, The laws have been changed to totally and absolute ban on dual prescribing from any same doctor a Valium drug class or a pain drug class at he same filling. That took effect here in Arkansas about 4 months ago, removing valium from my system until I can find a doctor to make it happen for off label reasons (Muscles)

Rest up. That's the most important thing you can do. It will be very busy for you soon enough in trucking. Make sure that you do not have any valium laying around for the future. Make sure no one else gets any of it (Felony) and be clear of that stuff when you are told to go ahead and get back to your work by your valium prescribing doctor. He will know that date means there is no drug left in your system to worry about. And there is that letter to document that treatment in case it did trip a MRO with a hot drug test. And provide you with some measure of protection.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
