Prescription question?

    Get your doctor's advice and get it in writing if it his opinion is that you can safely opperate a commercial vehicle. Then contact your company medical examiner, explain the situation to him and give him the written statement from your doctor. He can then accept or reject your doctor's statement, as he has the final say.

    As far as keeping your cdl, yes you can, you may be disqualified though depending on the ME as I mentioned in the previous paragraph.

    Under no circumstances should you drive while on this medication without doing the above.

    this is an old thread but i just got my new DOT medical card.

    the doc said for hydrocodone, you cant take it with in 8 hours of driving.

    (and for the people saying it is a bad drug or saying its evil, must not have ever had severe back pain. lol)
