I love all the responses and I will take more time to read tomorrow morning and write a proper response to everyone. Honestly everything has been fine since then. I stood my ground and told him how I really felt, and the guys at the mill and they treated me like a king the next couple days after that.

I was afraid I had said too much, but honestly it seems like I may have gained some respect by doing so.

2x calling me a liar id be in bossmans face fast, idgaf what its over. He can shovel that sh__ himself a few weeks while looking for the next 1099 slave to insult. Crappy jobs are a dime a dozen. The longer you put up with it the longer they pour it on you. When fists come up seniority, rank and roles go out the window and new understandings are found among men.

That was my wickedness talking.. It always gets the head start. What i meant to say was forgive him, turn the other cheek and pray for the guy.

Its easier to woop him and find another job than to follow Jesus though.

It’s mostly chips, not dust. Once it’s loaded like that it’s not going anywhere other than on the road once you hit 50-60+ mph. They have been respectful lately and will run a log down the top of it to level it down if it happens.

I saw a couple shovel comments and I think I would be more likely to get a ticket for shoveling a couple pickup loads onto the side of the road. Then again, I have trouble deciphering sarcasm when not communicating in person.

I’m happy where I’m at so far. I just don’t like never knowing what kind of response I will get when something goes wrong. I have made a couple major mistakes to the point something should have been said, and been nothing was said or very little. Then on the other hand there’s been times like these when the issue at hand doesn’t even involve me but I get smarted off.

I agree with the driver that stated take the ups and the downs/no perfect job.

Oh... it’s hook and go, not shovel and go. If they have a problem with that, they can let me go.

Also that’s not realistic, it takes them about as long to load a trailer as it takes me to go dump it and I need to stay caught up with it. Theres nowhere in the yard to offload that amount of dust/chips and they don’t want it in the yard.

Like I said thankfully it’s been no issue and they have been knocking it down before I take it instead of leaving me to deal with it.
