I can't say what your pay would be. When I was driving dedicated, I would go out to Denver, Reno, various places in Montana, and be home the next night, my 34 was always at home. You need to live in the Salt Lake are for PDS tho. They do have various schedules to fit drivers needs
I don't have Pride insurance because my wife has excellent insurance.
Give Brian or Flynn in recruiting a call. They can answer pay and insurance questions.

Will do. Thanks man. I honestly think that pride has the best looking cascadias. Not a huge Freightliner fan, but I’d rock a pride one

I'm glad I came to Pride. I'm on my third load, and it's going very well. This company is SO very different than any others I've worked for, and I mean that in the very best way.
For me, it's a very good fit.
I don't foresee any major problems for me personally adapting to sleeping with a reefer. Sure, they make a bit of noise, but I've been sleeping next to them for a couple of years now, and being hooked to one isn't much different than being parked beside one. -
One month into driving for Pride Transport, and things are going very well. I've run a few dedicated loads, spent a little time in the I-5 corridor, and have been to the east coast. I've had a couple of waits, a couple of slow unloads, but nothing major. It's been good loads, good lanes, and so far, knock on wood, good weather.{!!!}
I'm very happy with the staff at Pride. They are definitely not your typical "treat you like a number" outfit, not at all.
The equipment is well maintained, with a comfortable focus on safety. The loads and lanes seem to be quite good, so far.
I've worked for a lot of companies in my short time as a CDL driver, and this outfit is certainly the best I've driven for.Joho444, Speed_Drums, Snowshoes and 1 other person Thank this. -
Heading back out west to stage for my first home time as a driver for Pride. I've been east of the Mississippi for a couple of weeks now, I guess. I'm staying incredibly busy, and the paychecks are showing that.
When I left System, I said that I knew I'd be missing flatbedding. I could NOT have been more wrong. I don't miss it at all. I don't miss working my ### off securing and tarping for peanuts. I don't miss being exhausted and filthy all the time. And most of all, I do NOT miss that ridiculously tiny sleeper that they stuck me with, after taking that awesome T-800 from me.
I've had a couple of long waits, but I was mentally prepared for that, and besides, that's what detention pay is for.
I've had some loads/deliveries at crazy hours, but, again, I was mentally prepared for it, so it's just fine with me. I've recently, over the last year, especially, learned some very effective techniques for getting the mind processes slowed down and shut down for sleep, which has been crucial to being able to sleep at odd hours. Also, I have had very little difficulty, almost none, really, adjusting to sleeping with a reefer.
Anyhow, I'm still very happy with Pride Transport. My DM is excellent, as are the load planners. The Safety Dept. has had some suggestions for me for how to handle my logs more successfully, and the way they handled those conversations were incredibly helpful, respectful, and professionally handled. -
It's great to hear that you are rolling and doing well. Your DM must love your willingness to drive!Lonesome and Blue Zombie Trucker Thank this.

Any time I've asked him if there's anything he'd like to see me doing differently, he just tells me how well I'm doing! I'll take it! He has said, though, that the most important thing is the communication, and he and I had that talk Day One. I keep him informed. I've had a few issues: I was late a couple of times due to detention, but I keep him informed and he's been able to keep things smooth. I had to take a trailer into a shop to get the chute repaired, but I kept him (and off-hours) informed, and it all worked out.
TBH, I am glad I didn't come onboard with Pride until now. I've learned the difficult lessons about what this job truly entails, so I'm a LOT more realistic about my expectations than I was for the first couple years, and I really believe that has contributed greatly to my ability to succeed here. If I had taken this job earlier, I'm afraid that my unrealistic expectations of what sort of a job truck driving is, would have sabotaged this job, like it did for my first, um, several driving positions.
I really do believe Pride is a cut above the rest, and I think now is the perfect time in my development as a driver, for me to have taken this job. -
