Well after finishing my 2 stop trip to the whole foods stores. I made it back to the terminal around 10am. Those whole foods drops was a bit of a challenge. They are made for day cab 43' trailers the manager said. Park City manager was so happy I was so early he offered to buy me breakfast. I politely declined though.

So at my terminal my trailer wasn't going to arrive until 2000. I put my truck in the wash lane, and then over to the maintenance lane.
I told them to please check the batteries. The past few days the electrical system would shut off halfway through the night it while watching tv. Sure enough 2 of the 4 batteries were no good. They replaced all 4 and seems to be good so far.

My trailer got to the terminal early, but I decided to leave early in the morning instead. Left around 3am on the 14th and knocked out 537 miles and stopped at a rest area just before dark. Got up about 5am and knocked out another 588 miles. Then to finish the run I got up at 3am and drove 240 or so to finish my run. Made it with 30 minutes to spare. I was lazy this run. I like being a lot earlier.

Before leaving the terminal on the 14th they already loaded me with a preplan. After dropping here at this Coscto, I go to Wrigley gum to pickup and delivers to CO.

I stopped in Great Plains Pilot and bought me a steering wheel cover. So much nicer. My hand would cramp after a bit because the steering wheel is kinda thin. The steering cover has a great feeling to it and makes the steering wheel fatter which helps from cramping. Cost was $30.

Dude I'm not picking on you. Autocorrect does stupid things to all of us, but if average people that know nothing about trucking were to read some of these posts it would reinforce the stereotypical belief that truck drivers are stupid. The spelling and grammar makes it hard to figure out what the poster has on his mind. Not pointing that at you

Just a reminder... diarrhea will cause sudden use of wide open throttle.

Just a quick update. Company is still treating my very well. December was my lowest miles so far.
Freight seems to be down and hopefully picks up this new year.

Got a Christmas card with a $100 Target Gift Card & $200 extra dollars for working on Christmas Day.

The 2016 Freightliner has 80,000 miles on it now, and only problem I have had was it needed 2 new batteries.
I put in for the waiting list on the brand new Western Star's they just got. I checked out one at the terminal the other day, but I have to be honest, I think the Freightliner has more room inside.

P.S. - Still No Camera in my truck...

Very good read Kry. Keep up the safe miles.

    Thanks !

Very good about home time so far. For the past 5 months I have been with the company, they have got me home the day I have requested.
I even take more days off then I have earned and no problems.

For example this last run I was out from:
    12/4-12/27
    I have been off from:
    12/28-1/3

My DM never bothers me or micro manages me. It seems as long as I pickup and deliver on-time I am on my own. I talk to him maybe once a week if that.

I drove with pride before, glad to see they allow inverters now, before they wouldn't allow any, some of us even had generators strapped to the catwalk lol.

This was when Steve was the orientation guy or I don't know if he was doing it because he broke his arm.

Anyways, they were a decent outfit back then and sounds like they're still decent now, glad you're doing well there.

That's how it should be. Babysit the ones that need it and leave the others alone.

Steve is still in charge of recruiting.
They do allow inverters. UT you have to purchase it from them. Kinda poopy, but better than nothing. A microwave makes living in the truck 100x easier and conbenient. I don't feel like I'm actually camping in a truck anymore.
And a bought a skillet so making eggs pancakes sausage just like I was home. I feel spoiled sometimes.

Things are looking much more productive this month. 3900 miles for the first week out.
