Thankfully, there is no Czar that dictates what happens. NOTHING is better than the system sorting itself out with nobody forcing everyone to do things the way that benefits them. It's not possible to keep all the good stuff about System A and then fix these one or two problems and System A is now better than before. You can have System A results or you can have LESS than System A results and hand over lots of power and money to a king-maker who will make the System A (subprime) reward them while System A gets worse and worse results.
If the people risking their time and money don't care enough about THEIR results to investigate what they are getting into, the best results for EVERYONE is the careless go broke. Only you can look out for your results. As more and more participation trophies were handed out we should have run out of complaints by now instead of waking up daily to see one more WTF thing now become normal.
Prime accident policy?

Free market and Capitalism has always proved to be the best way for a society to prosper.tscottme Thanks this.

In general, yes, but not for everyone.
The people at the bottom usually want a chunk of what the people on top have. They really like the word 'free'. -
Maybe it works that way. Schneider, Werner, JB Hunt, Swift have turned themselves into multi-billion dollar companies.
We are all here #####in on a forum about how we are all broke, or just getting by -
Is a communist or socialist society any different? Don't they all have a class system where some are richer and some are poorer?
It seems to always be greener on the other side, until you actually get there and have to live in it. -
Well, the problem with THAT is that at any given time, probably more than 50% of all 1099 drivers are ACTIVELY failing, which means they are deferring maintenance, not eating enough, and just generally not giving a crap about anything. No, your idea is worse.....

Not super relevant but isn't prime a lease to rent then lease to own scam? I thought you had to do a 3 year lease where prime got the truck at the end of it and then you could take another lease that had an ownership clause at the end after a big balloon payment.
That's what I remember from their lease scam mandatory class when you got hired on.
If prime does fire you, be glad. Let them perform a low earth orbital strike on your DAC report and go work for a mom n pop place. Or better yet, find a better industry to work in.
When I ran at prime in like 2017 or 2018 I think I was making .48 cpm driving a full size truck. I think I recently saw drivers are making .51 cpm now for full size. 5 years of pandemic inflation and .03cpm more money. Lmao, get the #### outta here "New Prime Inc" -
No I’m just tired of dealing with ####### truckers too comfortable running their mouth because they ain’t been knocked on their ### in a while.
stupid ####s the reason I went back to construction. It ain’t safe to run your #### sucker on a job site like it is a CB or petro lunch counter.Someguywithquestions Thanks this. -
Maybe that works at some places. My current place has let a few people skate by saying they didnt see that tree branch or curb they hit. Playing dumb seems to be marginally better. But of course this is a place where you'll be fired on the spot for pulling an empty trailer out of the dock with the roll up door up.
I feel you on that. Half of the people I meet doing P&D I'd like to shatter half the bones in their body before im even done with the stop. They know they can have us fired for anything on the spot and treat us like it. You just have to smile and thank them for being a ####ing dick head or else it will be a write up. I hate fellow truckers, i hate trucking companies, i hate 4 wheelers, i hate customers, i absolutely ####ing hate everything. Anyone got any Everclear left? I'll settle for mad dog 20/20 if not. Hell, give me some brake line deicer. Ill drink that. That says methyl alcohol on the bottle. Thats alcohol of some kind. -
I don’t use the term accident so much in reference to mishaps with a semi truck. I talk about it in terms of “touching anything“ because if you touch anything with the semi truck, you’re gonna damage it. Even if it’s just a little bit. If you’re not sure what’s going on around you the truck doesn’t move. It’s a simple as that. If you’re 100% certain on what’s going on around you and where everything is that you need to avoid, guess what? You won’t touch anything.
