Prime and Western Flyer Express Merging

Because some of them are fed up with all the safety equipment the company has literally overloaded into the trucks!
Between being electronically governed at 65 mph, the SmartDrive system which says you’re following too close after someone cuts you off, the Bendix collision mitigation system that loves to slam the brakes on ,especially if the radar picks up a false alarm,in particular near overpasses and the side radar where you have to deal with knuckleheads who are hanging out in the truck’s blind spots,it’s a lot to take in! Plus,some of those drivers came from previous companies that basically treated them like crap!
Never mind the company bought too many PACCAR trucks and they’ve been plagued with technical issues.
Now to be fair unfortunately before the pandemic the company lowered its hiring standards too much. Before I was hired it was minimum 1 year experience,before even that it used to be 2 years. After I was hired the company dropped it down to 6 months!

 

I previously worked at marten for about 19 months. Bought my first house because of them. I actually had a blast there.
