BTW, the securement kit is all the equipment you need to secure a load, and im thinking tarps included, I was told it runs about $2500. Lots of other great information about Prime in there DAC page, plus alot of other guys that know a lot more then I do.

    ironpony Thanks this.

I have a local O/O flatbed company that I have been doing a little training with the last few weeks. Been on a few trips to learn securement, paper work, logs ect... Its still looking pretty promising but he might need to wait a while and I dont want to waste anymore time.

PRIME has always been my #1 choice since I started research, GREAT training pay and what appears to be nice equipment and from what I hear great training. How was communication with your trainer? Do you feel he was honest with you?

Gracie seemed very honest with me, my experience so far has been good, she seems to be upfront and honest, I have heard the same thing from many other guys that had her as a recruitor also.

There are a lot of people who have problems at other carriers (accidents, tickets) who try to hide this going to a different carrier. Its part of the due dilligence that a carrier needs to do (but doesn't always) to detect the ringers. You fill out the on-line app, then do the same thing sometime later in pen and ink... that's a legal document. If the two don't jibe, then there's a distinct possibility that someone isn't telling the truth. Being a former LEO, you should know the drill, yes?

yep it all makes sense...was just concerned, after you hear all the horror stories of "I got there and they sent me home with out a reason" post's on here. I have no issue with a ink/pen app and everything will match.

I also seen, thanks to Mont74, that you must quit your current job prior to orientation, is that just for current drivers of other companies or everyone?

Yup, its always the mean ol' evil truckin' company that did it to em'! You'll note the lack of accepting any personal responsibility for anything that happens to these folks. Probably a good thing they didn't get hired!

I believe that's for everyone - but you should check with recruiting if its a concern.

the only way to be is step up and take responsibility for your actions...if you screw up NOBODY to blame but yourself.

As far as the job goes I just hate quiting a job without know for sure you have the other.....Hows the old saying go "a bird in the hand is worth more than two in the bush"

    Hi MONT74,
How long from the initial application to your hire date? Did they give you at least two weeks? Curious, as I want to leave my current employer on good terms.
    Thanks,
    Janice
    And GOOD LUCK! :)
