I've never heard of anyone from ME being turned down due to location... we get lots of freight up that way. Florida is the only iffy one - mostly because there is such a high level of available trucks to loads down there all the time. Call recruiting if you want to talk about it... filling out an online app will get the ball rolling quickly though.

He's on the phone with the recruiter. Living in ME was not an issue (it was for Swift, so that's why we were asking for Prime).

Did the app (oddly it doesn't seem to accept non-trucking employment history, so he has to send it as if he were unemployed and then gave her the real info on the phone).

So now it's wait for the background/work verification to come in. Meanwhile he has a copy of the state CDL book. He plans on getting permit before class.

As he just said, the ball is a-rollin'. Let's hope it keeps rolling. We can really use a positive and working 2012.

He should not have a problem. He is being smart to get his permit before he goes to Springfield. Will take some stress off him, plus he will be able to get a jump on those who have to get their permit there.
