Hey Jim.
I think we're up to about 13,000 miles in 2 1/2 weeks... I think 5 or 6 loads. We've been running coast to coast for the past 2 weeks. We've been running hard lately... pretty much non-stop. -
Hi guys...thanks for all the good info. My question is how is the freight situation in the Northwest Indiana area and how would it affect my hooking up home time ? I live about 50 miles southeast of Gary. Thanks

There's a number of places we deliver to and pick-up at in northern Indiana, southern Michigan and the Chicago area. I wouldn't expect you'd have a problem.
Cooper09 Thanks this. -
I just might!!..... last time I was in, all inbound trucks were swiping cards to get in the main gate... rather than the gate opening automatically or already up.
I got my cheery personalized welcome home message... so the sensor knows its my truck... what gives?
I like driving my personal vehicle anyway... its just a pain to walk in the wintery weather out to the lot. -
I haven't seen that gate work right since I have been at Prime... about 2 months now. It greets you on the sign, but then you still have to swipe your card.

Always worked for me... but then again, I stay away from SPRIMO. Usually don't have the time to hang out at the terminal, and I'm more interested in getting to a 90 than dropping loads on the yard. Personally, I prefer the shops at CHDSLC and PRIPIT to dealing with SPRIMO.

Running team, we get through there all of the time... running 44/40. Plus, we both live in Ozark... so we have more interest in swinging through there than most. Also, we like to stop for the cheap fuel... if we haven't already stopped in OK City to fuel on the way.
The last few times through have been a hassle though. We had to have work done on the last few trailers that we brought through the inbound for a planned "brief" stop... One had a side marker light out that we had to go to the trailer shop for, and the other was due for a yearly inspection. They both contained loads that we were hanging onto, so those unexpected delays were a pain. -
Hey Coop,
I'm from Hobart. Never had a problem getting a load home... let's see, this one will be my second since going solo. Seriously, the problem is getting out of that mid-west loop. I've spent more time doing MI, IN, IL, IA, etc. than I'd like. But the home cooked meals delivered to the truck by family... priceless! Plenty of freight going in, out and through there, and plenty of places to drop your trailer for the B/T home.Cooper09 Thanks this. -
Its the new deal... I watched a driver sit there at gate waiting for it to open before someone walked over from the terminal and told him he had to swipe his card and that the gate was no longer automatic.
I like the valet service for repairs in SPRIMO. Forget waking up whenever your appointment is and driving your truck in at 0300 etc. You can grab a few extra hours sleep in a bunk room or hotel room while they come and get your truck (help em out with a Macro msg for your parking spot)
Ugh! CHDSLC, first come, first serve... no 24 hours service... You might get stuck behind 2 or 3 people if your not the first one waiting at the service office when the staff shows up in the morning...
Forget about parking in front of SPRIMO anymore... you dont pull in and park on the yard you get relentless QC Msgs and then phone calls from dispatch... Either drop and park, or park under your trailer in the trailer yard.
