    That is another thing I did not like about prime. I have always dropped my trailer at a secure lot and put a king pin lock on it. They did not like my location and wanted me to pay to park my trailer at a towing yard. I told them I have been dropping my trailer at this spot for years. I said I can even put my pick up in front of the trailer. No deal. They also tell you what truck stops not to park at on the road. I don't like to be micromanaged and they were not a good fit for me.

    Well, they just sent out a security message earlier this week... seems like we have had two trailers stolen while trucks where in a shop. They already have us lock the inspection door and are now telling us to use our air cuff lock anytime we leave the truck.

    As a last resort, they had me drop my trailer once and use a king ping lock when I went home.

    Never been told to stay away from certain truck stops... but then again, Im reefer and you have less chance of guessing what I am carrying.

    * NEWS FLASH *

    Primes not the ONLY company that has SECURITY demands for their drivers, O/O's , L/O's , all major carriers are under the gun to PROTECT their EQUIPMENT and their customers PRODUCTS.

    Yet you still see unsecured trailers dropped out in the middle of nowhere so Billy Bob can boogie on home :biggrin_25515: and he gets to tell everyone He Dropped it where He darn well felt like it :biggrin_2555:

    I agree... I was under load on Christmas Day... I was very suprised at how creative truck drivers were at parking their rigs for home time.
